Vietnam 2012
Home

In August Andy met up with Simone and the kiddies in Hong Kong on their way back from New Zealand. We avoided a couple of typhoons and headed to a wonderful holiday in Vietnam and Macau. We started in Hanoi, headed out to Halong Bay, down to Nha Trang and then finally took the overnight train to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh). On our way back to Dubai we stayed over in Macau for a few nights.....

Hanoi is a great old city and we had great tour guides with the Hanoi Kids Group and the kids loved watching all of the bikes and mopeds and even got a chance to go on one - what were we thinking....

We had a fantastic 1 night trip on Halong Bay - what a great experience for all of us with 1 night on a great boat......

We then flew down to a beach resort called Nha Trang.....we stayed at a great resort called Mia and also met a great family - The Vassallo's.......

We then took the overnight sleeper train (no sleep had at all) down to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh), which is a more modern city than Hanoi. We took a boat down the Saigon river to the Chu Chu tunnels......

After a great holiday in Vietnam experiencing great food, people, sights and weather we headed off to Macau, taking a fast boat from Hong Kong - such a different place but also a great experience and really enjoyed the Portuguese influence......
